Invites

One inbox for everything waiting on you: live games you can join, pod invites to accept, and games friends have shared for you to fill in.

Steps below are shown for iOSAndroid — use the iOS / Android switch in the sidebar if that's not your phone.

On this page

Open your Invites

Tap the Invites tray icon at the top of the Decks screen, next to the Pod pill and the + button. A number badge on the icon shows how many things need you. You can also get here by tapping a pod invite or live-game notification, or from the 1 pod invite waiting line on the Pod screen.

The tray icon only appears once you have something it can show — for example once you're signed in with a pod, or live games are on for your account. If you can't see it, you're most likely signed out or don't have a pod yet.

What the badge counts

The badge adds up two things: live games you've been invited to but haven't joined yet, and pod invites waiting for your answer. Games you're hosting, invites you've sent, people you've blocked, games shared with you and the new-activity bubble on the Pod pill are not counted, so nothing is counted twice. It clears as you join, accept or decline, and when you sign out.

Live games

The Live games section lists games a pod mate has started that you're seated in.

Join a game with a code
Always the first row. Tap it to type in the six-character code from someone's table — see How everyone joins.
A live game
Shows the host's face and name (or Your game if it's yours), when it started — “Started 12 min ago · 4 players” — and a button: Join, Rejoin if you've already been in it, or Resume if you're the host. Tap the row to open the game.

Swipe a row and tapSwipe a row left to reveal Dismiss to clear it from your list. A live game drops off by itself once it's finished, or after about a day.

If you missed the push notification, this is where to find the game.

Pod invites

The Pod invites section, with a count in its header, lists people who've invited you to their pod. Each row shows their face and name, and “Invited you · 2h ago”.

Accept
Connects you straight away; they appear in your pod and pod matching starts.
✕ (Decline)
Declines the invite. They aren't told, and there's no confirmation. To stop them inviting you again, block them from their profile instead.

If something goes wrong you'll see “Couldn't update the invite. Try again.” and the row stays where it is. Pod invites can't be swiped away — answer them with Accept or ✕.

Shared with you

When a pod mate shares a game with you, it lands here as a row with the date and the commanders at the table. Tap it to fill in your side of the game and add it to your Game Log. Swipe a row and tapSwipe a row left to reveal Dismiss to remove it without adding it.

Empty or signed out

With nothing waiting you'll see No invites — “Game and pod invites show up here.” If you're signed out it says Sign in to see invites: Invites, like pods, need a free Compendium account.
